I Love Science: A Journal for Self-Discovery and Big Ideas- A Review

Remember when I wrote about Women in Science? Click over if you don’t remember me gushing about that pretty sciency book. Rachel Ignotofsky has pulled another rabbit out of her graphic designing hat. I won’t tell you how many things I’ve bought after being swayed by graphics. In this case, it’s science and it’s awesome.

I Love Science is a science journal. My first thought is that it would be a great jumping off point for any kid that wants to explore science. It contains a bunch of different reference charts as well as writing and drawing prompts. I only have access to the digital galley, and so the formatting is a bit wonky on my copy. It still looks cool, and I can see enough to get the gist of it.

Unschoolers will love this as it practically begs you to take some rabbit trails. More textbook style homeschoolers can use it with their science curriculum or on Fridays as something different.

You can’t get it until March, but you can preorder it on Amazon. If I end up with a hardcopy, I’ll update with some more thoughts and pictures from the inside.
