The History Book contains essays about significant events in history and the big ideas behind each one, from the dawn of civilization to the present. One hundred articles explore the Law Code of Hammurabi, the Renaissance, the American Revolution, World War II, and much, much more, bringing the events and people of history to life. The pictures were less cluttered than the stereotypical DK book.

The downsides: No maps at all- what?

No sources or bibliography

This is short because I just didn’t like it or the other titles in the Big Ideas Explained Series.

I read a DRC of this book in exchange for an honest review.
