I received a digital galley of this book in exchange for an honest review. I think my review may end up being a bit different from most people as the highlight for me was that in this book the main character struggles with anxiety. Every day Stephen Noble counts his mistakes and the mistakes made by those around him. We have several people in our family who struggle with anxiety issues and reading a story about a regular kid having an adventure while still dealing with his anxiety was welcomed.
Some other positives for me: I liked how Stephen’s natural observation skills were highlighted and then shown as a positive attribute.
It’s a mystery that a boy and girl solve together. Kid detectives for the win.
Stephen and his Dad are dog walkers- so the story included dog antics and descriptions which we love.
The Best Mistake Mystery is available for pre-order on Amazon and will be published March 28, 2017.
